Nikon Presents: Motion
A rare opportunity to learn some tips & tricks from Australia’s leading skate
content creators whilst capturing some of Australia’s top transition skateboarders on our very
own halfpipe with photographer Wade Mclaughlin and videographer Leigh Bolton. All while
getting your hands on the latest Nikon Z series ‘mirrorless’ cameras and the entire suite of
NIKKOR lenses.

What to bring: A wide range of Nikon products will be available to try throughout the evening,
but you are welcome to bring your own Nikon camera and lenses if you wish. We recommend
bringing an SD or XQD card if you want to take home your scopes from the new Z series.
Duration: 3 Hours - 3 x 30-minute workshops for both photography and videography. Secure

Videography workshop details: Capture some of Vans Australia’s best transition skaters with
Leigh Bolton.
Workshop times: 6:30 - 7:00, 7:30 - 8:00, 8:30 - 9:00 pm
Overview: Learn how to film like a pro with Leigh Bolton as he talks you through composition,
angles, movements and what to look for while filming skateboarding.
What to expect: Leigh will show you how to optimise the Nikon Z6’s video settings for filming
skateboarding. He’ll then explain the various tricks you will be capturing and how to make them
look as good as possible.
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to film with a fisheye up on the platform or capture
all the action from down below with a long lens.
What to bring: Nothing! You will be provided with a Nikon Z Series camera for the duration of
the workshop. Though if you want to take home what you’ve captured, please bring your own
SD or XQD card and download the Snapbridge app ahead of the event.

Overview: Learn how to capture the ultimate skate photo with Wade Mclaughlin as he talks you
through composition, angles, timing and what to look for while shooting skateboarding.
What to expect: Wade will talk you through the settings you will want to use for shooting
skateboarding on the new Z6. He’ll then explain the various tricks you will be capturing and how
to make them look as good as possible.
In this workshop you will have the opportunity to get close to the action shooting fisheye on the
platform or capture the whole scene from next to the ramp.
What to bring: Nothing! You will be provided with a Nikon Z Series camera for the duration of
the workshop. Though if you want to take home what you’ve captured, please bring your own
SD or XQD card and download the Snapbridge app ahead of the event.
